Foix Round Tray

The casual language used in the design of Clotet's Foix Round Tray is characteristic of the items created by the Catalan architect for Alessi. Clotet is a member of a group of designers who challenge the perfection of form, which they perceive as being unrelated to human ideas and actions: Foix is made up of irregular surfaces that are rich in random reflections and bathe the tray in a new light every time. Josep Vicenc Foix, a Catalan poet, is honored by its name (1893-1987).
